Sausage Meatballs and Spaghetti


Great mid-week meal. Quick, easy, and flavourful, thanks to our great variety of sausage flavours.

Serves 4-6


  • 6 Freckle Farm sausages (choose your favourite flavour)

  • 2 tbs olive oil

  • 1 brown onion (finely chopped)

  • 1 jar of passata (tomato puree)

  • 250mL beef stock

  • italian herbs

  • your favourite pasta

  • shaved parmesan cheese, to serve


  1. Remove the sausages from their casings, and form into little meatballs.

  2. Heat 1 tbs of olive oil in a pan, and brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove from pan, and set aside.

  3. Heat another 1 tbs of olive oil in a pan, and saute the onion until just brown.

  4. Add the meatballs back to the pan, along with the beef stock and jar of passata. Stir and bring to the boil, before reducing the heat, and allowing to simmer for 20+minutes. The sauce should reduce down by about half.

  5. While the meatballs are doing their thing, cook your pasta according to the packet instructions.

  6. Once the pasta and the sauce is ready, mix the pasta into the meatballs, with a little of the pasta cooking water.

  7. Serve with some shaved parmesan.
